New for 2018, Gas Gas introduce their Trial Contact with electric start in 250cc and 280cc displacements.
Basically a trial bike with the addition of a seat and larger fuel tank, the Contact EC is aimed at those who enjoy the combination of trials and mountain riding.
Not quite a pure trials bike or enduro bike, Gas Gas are aiming the Contact ES to sit somewhere in the middle for those keen to do longer spins but without the added weight of an enduro bike, especially with it's claimed dry weight of 69.5kg.
The Contact ES features electric start, a single cylinder two-stroke, liquid cooled, new chromed steel exhaust collector, new DellOrto 26 carburettor and Hydria ignition system with a single map.
Front forks are pre-adjusted standard and a rear shock absorber with pre-load and progressive link swing arm smoothes the way for riders on their mountain rides.
A new 3.5 litre tank has been fitted, with a larger capacity than the trial bikes, also a padded seat as standard, hiding a new battery underneath, are just some of the new features on this model showing great stability and traction thanks in part due to a slight increase in weight but also because of the new Mitas tyres.
Other features include new Braktec clutch and brake pistons, NG brake discs (front and back) and switchgear (including lights, starter, indicators and OBD).
