Elite
Taddy Blazusiak, KTM (1-2): “It’s been great to come away from this weekend with the overall win. Finishing first at round three and then backing that up with second at round four has been a real confidence boost for me. On Saturday I was able to get an advantage early on and once I had built up a comfortable lead I simply tried to control my pace throughout the day and was able to win. The course was much rougher on Sunday and Dietrich was pushing hard. Although I didn’t win I’m pleased with my riding. To stay within eight seconds of him has been a big confidence boost for me as he’s very fast in these types of conditions. Unfortunately this will be my last round of the BSEC as now I’m starting to prepare for the AMA Endurocross championship in May so it’s been nice to finish off with a win.”
Ricky Dietrich, Husqvarna (3-1): “Winning round four has been a fantastic result. I’m beginning to feel like everything is starting to click into place and my riding is starting to come to the point of where I know it should be. At round three, yesterday, I wasn’t quite up to speed straight away. It took me too long to find a rhythm and that left me playing catch up. Today I knew I needed to push hard immediately and I did just that in the first test. I was one second off the pace set by Blazusiak but felt like I had still more to give. After the second lap I had worked my way into the lead and from then on I just tried to build on it. It’s a relief to finally win again and now I hope I can continue to build on it for the rest of the season.”
Jordan Rose, TM (2-4): “I was chuffed to get second at round three. Everything seemed to go right for me and I was able to ride strong. Round four I had a couple of bad tests that set me back a little. The racing is so competitive at the minute that it’s hard to make the time back up but I’m pleased to come away with third overall – I’ll take that!”
Tom Church, KTM (4-3): “Fourth overall is another big improvement for me this weekend. I’m beginning to find my pace with this type of racing though I still feel like it’s taking me a bit too long to learn the track in the morning. Unfortunately I crashed at the beginning of each day which set me back a bit and left me with some work to do. But today I was able to recover strongly and finished up third in Elite. I happy with my weekend’s riding and feel that I’ve got more to improve on at rounds five and six.”
Daryl Bolter, KTM (5-5): “I think this weekend has been a big improvement for me compared to the opening round of the series. The course really suited me and I was able to run a fast pace. A few mistakes set me able a little on Saturday and I ended fifth. On Sunday I was able to start of fast and held on to finish fifth again. I pleased with how things are working out and can come away positive from here.”
Gordon Clarke, TM (11-10): “This was a super weekend and I think I’ve been able to step my riding up another notch. I clicked quite with the track and was running inside the top ten until I clipped a rock on the chain and knocked it off. I pushed hard to come back from that but made a few more mistakes and ended 11th. Round four went a lot better and I was able to push really hard throughout the entire day. I am delighted to finish 10th. Overall it’s been a good result for me here.”

Under 23
Jonny Walker, KTM (1-1): “I’m thrilled to come away with two victories this weekend. When I walked the track I thought I might struggle a bit because it was quite fast but from early on I was able to set some consistently quick times. I opened up a good lead on Saturday but by the halfway stage Danny McCanney began to close the gap and it tightened up again. Luckily I was able to hang on and get the win. At round four I started off in the lead and was able to control my pace from the front to win."
Danny McCanney, Gas Gas (2-2): “Second overall is a good result but I don’t think this was my best weekend of riding. After doing the Spanish championship last week I struggled to get to grips with the conditions. I came back quite strong on Saturday but Jonny had built too much of a gap on me to get the win.”
Jack Rowland, Husqvarna (3-3): “I’m really happy to come away with third overall this weekend and I think I’ve made another big improvement. The times were tight all weekend with not much room for error. In places the track was very fast and I thought I would struggle riding the 250f against some of the bigger bikes but once it cut up it sort of evened it out slightly. They gained on me down the straights but I worked really hard in the corners and I think that made the difference.”
Alex Rockwell, Husaberg (13-5): “I think it’s been a bit of a weekend to forget with one too many crashes. After riding the 250 two-stroke in Aldershot I switched back to my four-stroke that I will use in the EWC next week. I was riding well and holding third in Under 23 until I crashed very hard in the final test. I was pretty banged up after that so I just tried to use Sunday as a test session and some extra bike time before the EWC.”
Under 19
Steve Holcombe, KTM (1-1): “Round three was a perfect day to be honest. Everything went to plan with no major mistakes. I gelled with the course straight away and was able to put in some consistently fast laps to pull a big lead. I found it hard to get a good rhythm going on Sunday. At times I was over-riding the bike and ended up making mistake after mistake. After the lunch break I settled in a lot better and was able to pick up my pace. It got close at the end but thankfully I managed another win.”
Robert Johnson, Husqvarna (4-4): “I was running top three but made a mistake during the penultimate test. I lost almost ten seconds during that run and could only pull four back in the last test. That set me back to fourth in class. I’m a bit disappointed about that but otherwise I was riding well and know I’ve got the speed to get a podium at these.”

125 Youth Cup
Jamie McCanney, Husaberg (1-1): “The track was a bit fast for the small bike this weekend. Although I won the 125 Youth Cup class I really wanted to figure strongly in the overall classification. Eighth at round three was good but I couldn’t get much higher overall than 11th at round four.”
Women
Jane Daniels, KTM (1-1): “It’s been another fantastic weekend’s racing for me. Winning both days was the best result that I could hope for and it’s helped me extend my lead in the championship. The track was a lot of fun, not to technical but enjoyable to ride. Hopefully I can keep these results going at the next two rounds in April.”
Fionn Griffiths, KTM (3-2): “I struggled a little early on at round three as I hadn’t been on the bike enough between events. With each lap I focused on building up my speed and not to make many mistakes. It worked out and I was happy to finish third. Today I was riding a lot better but gave some time away early on though I found some good speed towards the end and finished second.”
Expert
Luke Meredith, Gas Gas (1-1): “This was my first time riding the BSEC so I’m chuffed to come away with two wins. I really enjoyed the track this weekend. It was very fast in places, which suited me, but then there was some tricky woodland stuff that I was loosing time on so I had to work hard on that. I didn’t really know where I’d fit in here but once I got the first test under my belt I just tried to build on that for the rest of the weekend.”
Clubman
Richard Topping, Honda (2-2): “I chuffed to get an overall win with two second place results as it also puts me into the championship lead as well. I think the track was awesome and once it cut in there were a lot of lines to use in the corners. This is only my first season riding the BSEC but I’ve loved every minute of it so far. I can’t wait to come back to the next round and hopefully I can get another podium.”
