Hot Right Now – EWC Chile…Literally

If dirt bikes with head lights is your thing then the only place in the world to be right now is Chile.

October 2011 was the last time we got the chance to cheer on our world champions, which is a long time to wait for any enduro fan. With all classes in this year’s Enduro World Championship stacked with talent, the series appears to have all the ingredients necessary to make it better than the last.

Every year we greet the coming season with anticipation and excitement, claiming it to be the best yet – in 2012 those thoughts might just ring true.

After a lengthy six-month lay-off the FIM Enduro World Championship breathes into life again this coming weekend but this time starts in Talca, Chile. Changing lanes from the normal Spanish and Portuguese season opening double header, the championship’s move west into South America is a departure from the norm’ for all.

With a new continent comes the unknown - new challenges for all involved. And the levelling of enduro’s dusty playing fields. With virgin terrain awaiting a full entry of 150 competitors, none of the big hitters will enjoy any real advantages. Those that stand tall on Sunday afternoon will be the ones who’ll have put in the hard work over the winter. Those that will have worked, worked, and worked some more to improve their game.

Who they’ll be is what we are all waiting to find out. With all classes axle deep in talent the battle for top honours should be every bit as hot as the 30-degree heat they’ll face…

Without doubt Talca, Chile is the place to be this weekend, which is why enduro21.com will be there too…
