The Husqvarna rider is the latest competitor to sign up to the highly anticipated endurocross event at X-Games 18. The race, which also incorporates round three of the 2012 AMA EnduroCross Championship, will be shown live on worldwide television offering the Husqvarna rider a global platform to perform from.

Although the race will mark the Italian's debut ride in the US series, the Enduro World Championship competitor is no stranger to the sport of endurocross. Salvini was one of the standout performers in this year's FIM SuperEnduro World Championship. Finishing fourth overall in series and also placing second in both Italy and Spain, the Husqvarna rider will be hoping to deliver similar results in the Staples Centre on July 1.

However, with the Italian now confirmed as an entry for the X-Games, he will be forced to miss the Enduro World Championship GP of Italy due to the conflicting schedule.
