Injury rules Husaberg’s Hans Vogels out of the Enduro World Championship GP of Italy this weekend…
Top Dutch enduro rider Hans Vogels will be forced to sit out the GP of Italy in Castiglion Fiorentino due to a knee injury sustained during a recent round of the German Cross Country Championship.
Vogels, who sits 14th overall in the Enduro 2 standings, badly tore the ligaments in his knee after awkwardly catching his foot in a rut during the race. Although trying to rest the injured knee for two weeks after the incident, the true extent of the damage came to light when he returned to training.
Unable to ride his Husaberg, Vogels immediately sought medical consultation where scans revealed the exact injury of the knee.
Opting to miss the fifth round of the series in Italy, the Dutchman hopes to return to action in Sweden at the end of August.
