Wilson Turns Red – Australian champ switches to Honda for EWC

Wison moves to Honda... Wison moves to Honda...

Australian Enduro star Jemma Wilson has arrived in Italy to continue her campaign of the Women’s Cup in the Enduro World Championship…

Following a strong showing in Spain and Portugal on Yamaha machinery, Wilson now switches to Honda for the penultimate round of the season with Swedish team Johansson Honda.

Making her debut ride in the EWC in Spain with the Greek INA TV Yamaha Racing team, Wilson then moved to the GP of Portugal one week later where she achieved a career best fifth.

Now, after a three week training exercise at the team’s base in Sweden, the young Queensland rider hopes the experience gained will drive her one step closer to that elusive podium result.

However, despite her international commitments, Wilson will still defend her crown over the final four rounds of the 2012 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) and represent Australia at the International Six Day Enduro (ISDE) in September.

"I still will not miss any of the AORC's, and am looking forward to racing those and the ISDE on my Yamaha YZF250F, with the continued assistance of Yamaha Motor Australia," Wilson said.

"After winning the two rounds held in Broadford, I am now only trailing the lead by one point at the AORC!"
