In what’s regarded as Sweden’s single day extreme enduro championship, Joakim Ljunggren (Husaberg) fended off a strong line up of riders to win the event in Hallsberg. Situated in the centre of the town, organisers laid out an endurocross styled course with competitors facing a series of qualification heats before the main event of the evening took place over three finals.
With light rain ensuring the numerous logs and rock section remained slippery throughout the evening, the fast paced finals guaranteed an action packed evening of racing for the large crowd of spectators gathered.

With pressure mounting to retain his title, Ljunggren wasted little time in getting down to business and grabbed the holeshot in Final 1 to claim a start to finish victory.
For Final 2 the start order was reversed. After a mid pack start, the Husaberg rider fought his way back from numerous crashes to place fourth.
Making a perfect start for the final race of the evening, Ljunggren secured another start to finish win to clinch the Swedish Extreme Enduro Championship.
Gas Gas’ Pontus Hogberg impressed all with his consistency to finish as runner up to Ljunggren while Husaberg’s Viktor Karlsson completed the top three.
