Much welcomed sunshine ensures a bright start to the 427 km stage four of the Desafio Litoral Rally in Argentina…
Marking both the longest and most demanding stage of the rally, KTM’s Cyril Despres was yet again the rider to beat as he secured victory by over 90 seconds. Recording his second consecutive stage win of the event, Despres now extends his race lead to five minutes 44 seconds.
Finishing second to Despres, Poland’s Jacub Przgonski (KTM) continues to impress and now sits as runner up to Despres in the overall standings.
KTM’s Taddy Blazusiak showed no ill effects of his crash during stage two to set the third fastest time.
Argentina’s Mauricio Gomez (Yamaha) finished fourth with Jeremy Israel (Honda) rounding out the top five.
Stage one winner Francisco Lopez (KTM) became an unfortunate retirement to a mechanical failure.
