With rumours regarding what teams a number of the Enduro World Championship’s top rider will be racing for in 2013 circulating the EWC paddock one thing has been confirmed – Ivan Cervantes will be leaving Gas Gas and is looking for a ride for 2013.

Amid speculation regarding the four-time world champion’s future with the Spanish Gas Gas Racing Team, the Spaniard confirmed to Enduro21 at the EWC GP of Finland, “These will be my last few weeks with Gas Gas. At the moment I will continue to race with the team until the EWC season has finished in France. By then I hope to have a new deal with a different team in place.”

Refusing to comment on whether rumours regarding a possible return to KTM, or a move to Honda, were true Ivan insists he is still focused on the job in hand, regardless of where his future lies.

“I’m disappointed with how this year has turned out. Due to numerous mechanical problems and crashes this is not the season I hoped for. But I still have two more rounds of the championship left to turn things around. I’m racing for my future, I’ll be giving it 100 per cent.”
