No less than one-minute into the Friday evening super test, Enduro Junior class rider Edoardo D’Ambrosio made a huge error and crashed hard. The incident resulted in a broken collarbone.
As the sole remaining rider for the team Jonathan Manzi fought hard on day one to recover from some small crashes to place fourth. On day two he delivered an excellent performance to finish second overall in the Enduro Junior class.

Jonathan Manzi – “When you push yourself longing for an improvement, making some mistakes is unavoidable. The result on Saturday wasn't too satisfying, even if it was positive since I finished fourth. On Sunday, with a ground made hard by the rain, in the beginning I had some difficulties finding my rhythm, but then, even if with some little uncertainties, I constantly improved. I gained speed and confidence and in the end I could get a result that, once again, is up to the Team's expectations. In the same conditions Mathias Bellino, unbeatable in other situations, made more mistakes than me, giving me the sensation that the great job that the team is doing is giving the expected results. I still have a race of the World Championship to complete my "education", then, from the next year on, my goal will be just one: winning."
Edoardo D'Ambrosio – “The race ended when it was just at the beginning. Too bad! Also since we trained a lot, in Sweden as in Finland, obviously to make the right impression. The Super Test showed I had an off day and it was not going to be "my" GP. On Friday, I could run the race just a little more that a minute: I arrived strong to the last three whoops, fifty meters before the finish line. The rear wheel had a problem on the last one and the bike nose-dived. I fell all of a sudden and I couldn't do anything to adjust it, banging my shoulder against the ground. I immediately felt there was something broken. They took me to the hospital and it was my collarbone. Now I'll go back to Italy and the Bordone-Ferrari Racing Team medical equip will decide about the surgery. I hope to be able to go back to France, for the last race of the World Championship.”
