In what was been a standout season of racing for the young Husaberg rider, Johan Edlund has claimed the 2012 Swedish Enduro Championship with victory in four of the six round championship.

Entering the final race of the season with a healthy points lead over his nearest rival Gas Gas’ Pontus Hogberg, Edlund delivered another solid performance in the extremely difficult and muddy terrain of Harnosand to secure the final win of the series thus cementing his position at the head of the championship.

In the lead up to the event heavy rain quickly deteriorated the course to leave many of the narrow trails between the special tests water logged.

With his sights firmly set on securing the title, Edlund rode a strong and calculated race to claim a comfortable 30-second margin of victory over his nearest rival and teammate Martin Larsson (Husaberg). KTM’s Jonas Karlsson placed 22 seconds behind Larsson to finish third with Henrik Lindholm (KTM) ending his day in fourth to top the Enduro 1 classification.
