Scheduled to be the opening round of the four-event 2013 Superenduro World Championship, the loss of the event looks set to have a huge impact on the series. It is not yet known if the series will now start in Poland, which was due to be the second round of the series on December 9, or if a replacement event will take its place on or close to the November date.
Widely considered to be the best indoor enduro in Europe, over the years the Genoa event has seen some truly amazing racing. Thanks to the first class organisation from the Off Road Pro Racing team, and unquestionably high levels of originality when it comes to the track design, Genoa has rightly established itself as a must do event for racers, teams, industry and media.
Despite the cancelation of this year’s event it is hoped that the Genoa Indoor Enduro will return, as Off Road Pro Racing’s Elisa Domenici has confirmed…
“The round of the World Championship has been cancelled only for this year, just because there have been some changes of organisation. Next year the Italian round in Genoa will be held again, that is our plan.”
