With the 2013 Dakar Rally now less than one month away, the team presented their strong four-rider team that they hope will deliver a podium result for the Husqvarna TE449 RR in next year’s race.
Fronted by Spain’s Joan Barreda, who placed fifth overall in last year’s race, the team also includes the very experienced Paulo Goncalves, Italy’s Alessandro Botturi, who was one of the top performing rookies of 2012, and Dakar Rally newcomer Matt Fish from Australia.
Barreda, 29, who ended his 2012 season with a fantastic win at the Pharaons Rally in Egypt is eagerly awaiting the start of the 2013 Dakar Rally… “This year has been an incredible season for me. Winning a stage of the 2012 Dakar Rally and then winning the Pharaons Rally has been as a result of a lot of hard work by everyone involved in the team. The Dakar Rally will be a tough race with many strong riders but I feel I’m capable of delivering a strong result.”
