Getting the party started in Brazil in April, the four-event show that ESPN are branding as ‘a global celebration of youth lifestyle’ then touches down in Spain with an event in Barcelona. Next up it’s Munich in Germany before the series finishes in Los Angeles, USA. All four events will feature both men’s and women’s classes with a select number of AMA Endurocross racers set to compete in all events, joining the best riders from host continents.
Eric Peronnard, the creator of EnduroCross and ESPN’s Enduro X sport organizer stated, “This is an unbelievable opportunity ESPN is offering to the world's top off road riders. In my wildest dreams I could not have seen such an opportunity arise. X Games has elevated the world of Enduro to unthinkable levels and now we will have the possibility to shine four times a year on several continents.”
The following is the official word from ESPN… Enduro X [men's and women's], the newest Moto X sport in added to the X Games in 2011 will run at all four stops, as will Best Trick, Best Whip and Step Up. Held in open-air venues, including the Olympic stadiums in Barcelona and Munich, Enduro X will run rain or shine. In Brazil it will kick off the competitions with a Thursday evening show. In Los Angeles it will maintain its spot in the Staples Center as the closing event, Sunday evening.
