After narrowly loosing out to Taddy Blazusiak for the Elite class win at round three of the 2012 BSEC series Husqvarna’s Ricky Dietrich delivered a solid performance at round four of the series to earn his first win of the championship. With Blazusiak fastest on the opening special test, a focused ride by Dietrich on lap two lifted him in front of Blazusiak where he remained throughout the day.
Leading by less than two seconds early in the day, Dietrich gradually began to stretch his advantage. Managing to stay ahead of his closest rivals the Husqvarna mounted US rider rode on to an eight-second winning margin over Blazusiak. Blazusiak’s solid second position marked a brilliant end to the Polish’s rider participation in this year’s BSEC series.
Behind the duo, the battle for third proved a close one between KTM’s Tom Church and Electraction TM’s Jordan Rose. Crashing twice on the opening special test, Church steadily clawed back a 20-second deficit to beat Rose for third by three seconds. Behind Rose, Daryl Bolter (KTM) finished fifth.
Jonny Walker was again the rider to beat in the Under 23 class. Clearly finding the fast paced course to his liking, the KTM mounted rider continued to lead his class from the beginning of the day. Steadily building his advantage throughout the day, Walker finally ended round four almost 14 seconds clear of second placed rider Danny McCanney (Gas Gas). Struggling to find a comfortable rhythm around the rutted Llangrove circuit, McCanney reluctantly had to settle for another second place finish.

With his confidence high from his previous day’s performance, Rowland again delivered another strong result and finished third at round four, yet another impressive result for the Husqvarna mounted rider. Scott again finished fourth with Rockwell completing the top five.
Following his dominant victory at round three, Steve Holcombe (KTM) faced a stronger challenge from Joe Jones (KTM) in the Under 19 class. With Jones stretching out an early lead he looked poised to prevent Holcombe claiming another win. However, by mid distance Holcombe had reduced the advantage and finally managed to beat Jones by six seconds after the end of the sixth and final test. James Dent (KTM) again finished third to beat Robert Johnson (Husqvarna) and Aaron Smith (Husaberg).
In the 125 Youth Class, Jamie McCanney (Husaberg) proved the rider to beat. Winning his class by over two minutes, he comfortably claimed his fourth victory of the series. Gethin Humphreys (KTM) placed second with Lee Sealey in third.
Jane Daniels once again topped the Women’s class with fastest times in all of her tests. Fionn Griffiths improved on her pervious day’s result to finish second while Rhian George was third.
TM mounted Gethin Francombe rode to a 50-second winning margin in the Clubman class ahead of JAR Honda’s Richard Topping with Paul Davies (KTM) third.
