News filtering through this morning is that Husqvarna’s Mathias Bellino is out of the EnduroGP of Finland having injured himself in a training crash.
One of the heavy favourites for this year’s EnduroGP World Championship, the news should come as a devastating blow for the Frenchman and the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Team.
It’s believed during a final training run in preparation for the start of racing on Saturday, Bellino landed heavily on his shoulder.
He’s since been taken to hospital and awaiting further medical results.

Having switched back to his TE 300 two-stroke for the 2017 season, the Frenchman was looking and feeling highly motivated for the season ahead. Most certainly being forced to sit on the sidelines for round one will hurt his shot at the EnduroGP title.
The opening round of the 2017 EnduroGP World Championship gets under way in Finland this weekend. A snow event — the first time since 2008 — EnduroGP takes in the unique and legendary Lake Paitsi Enduro.
Competitors will face a 400 kilometre opening day covering approximately 15 different special tests. Day two sets them on a slightly shorter route covering 12 special tests back to Finland’s capital Helsinki.
