Round two of the EnduroGP World Championship got underway in Spain with Beta’s Alex Salvini topping the time sheets.
With sunny skies greeting riders for the Friday evening SuperTest dash, Salvini clocked the fastest time of the night at 78.20 seconds.
KTM’s Nathan Watson was second fastest stopping the clock 11 tenths of a second slower than Salvini with Husqvarna’s Christophe Charlier in third.
With not much to report the only anomaly of the EnduroGP category results was Sherco’s Matt Phillips down in the 13th and final position. Already 10 seconds off Salvini, he’s got a bit of catching up to do tomorrow.
In Enduro 2, KTM’s Josep Garcia kicked his home round off in the best way by topping the classification, while also setting the third fastest time outright.
Swede Tommy Sjostrom (Yamaha) was second fastest with Husqvarna’s Danny McCanney third. Points leader Eero Remes sits tenth but is only about three seconds behind.
Spain sees the Women’s Cup get underway and Laia Sanz (KTM) has wasted no time in making her intentions known stopping the clock nearly 11 seconds quicker than anyone else.
The EnduroGP of Spain gets underway in earnest tomorrow with a near 50 kilometre lap to complete three times.
