With just one week to go until the Roof of Africa, Wade Young has announced he’ll not compete.

He posted this message on Instagram…

“Unfortunately I won't be racing Roof this year. I was looking forward to competing at my home race.

“Thanks to all my sponsor for being here through the tough times. Best of luck to all the riders that are racing.”

Although not saying why he’s out, Young - two-time Roof of Africa winner - has been working hard to recover from a broken bone in his hand and elbow sustained at the Red Bull Sea to Sky in October.
