The extreme season gets going this weekend with some of the sport’s top dogs rolling up their sleeves for the opening round of the British Extreme Enduro Championship in Tong.
Yes, the boys are back in town as Graham Jarvis heads the line up for the Eddy X-treme this Sunday, which also serves as the opening round of the European Extreme Enduro Championship.
He won’t be the only rider under Husqvarna’s awning as newly-signed Billy Bolt makes his professional debut as an extreme enduro rider.
Danny McCanney joins them this weekend too. A proper all-rounder, the Husqvarna rider has podiumed at The Tough One and is capable of getting into the sharp end of the results.
Back in action following hip surgery just seven weeks ago, David Knight leads the way for KTM. Rarely beaten, if ever, around Tong, Knight is a favourite for top honours.
A late-comer to the entry, Paul Bolton will make his first ride since sustaining a serious ankle injury last September.
In total 80 riders will compete. Race action gets underway at 9.30 am with a two-hour race for Vets, Youth and Sportsman then followed by the Pro’s in the afternoon.
