After last’s year race exceeded all expectations and pushed the limits, Xross Challenge returns this year with a new, bigger challenges. The fourth edition of this biggest hard enduro race in Serbia will be held from 26th to 28th May at the Tara Mountain, and riders can expect three full days of enduro riding.
More than 150 riders faced the harsh beauty of the Tara Mountain last year, fighting a real weather rollercoaster of sun and cold rain showers. We saw some of the world top extreme enduro riders battling for the title, and as expected they took the podium but it wasn't an easy win at all.
Philipp Bertl (AUT) took the first place, Chris Birch (NZE) was the second, Miha Spindler (SLO) ended up third, followed by Ben Hemingway (GB) on fourth and Benjamin Diesel (AUT) at fifth place.
This year Xross Challenge will have three categories, A – pro, B – expert and C – hobby, and compared to last year, riders can expect three days of enduro riding.
Day one (Friday, May 26th) is reserved for the Prologue and 55 km enduro riding.
On day two (Saturday, May 27th) competitors will ride 90 km hard enduro, and for the third and final day (Sunday, May 28th) riders will face a final 55 km extreme enduro.
The big news is that Xross Challenge is included in the calendar of Alpe Adria Extreme Enduro Championship (AAEEC) and will count by their scoring rules.
