Great Britain have put forward their Trophy teams for this year’s ISDE in France.
With the ISDE falling in the middle of the EnduroGP World Championship, there are a few notable names absent.
EnduroGP point’s leader Steve Holcombe won’t compete, along with Jamie McCanney — second in Enduro 2 — and his brother Danny.
The team does have a strong entry with recent EnduroGP winner Nathan Watson heading the list along with Junior sensation Brad Freeman.
FIM WORLD TROPHY TEAM: Nathan Watson, Josh Gotts, Brad Freeman, Lee Sealey
FIM JUNIOR WORLD TROPHY TEAM: Joe Wootton, Tom Ellwood, Dan Mundell
ACU GB ISDE Team Manager, Dusty Martin: “We can’t deny we are missing some notable top-level riders from our line-up for this year. The timing of the ISDE – falling in the middle of the world championship season – has complicated the selection process and left us without some of our best talent. However, we have the strongest team we could assemble – all of them are excellent riders with first class results to their names – and I’m sure, as our riders have done previously, our two teams will rise to the challenge. We are still expecting to challenge for podium finishes.”
The ISDE takes places in Brive, France August 28- September 2.
