For the second year in a row, Motorex was not only a sponsor of the ISDE, but also supported Club Team and Vintage riders through their Motorex Challenge Programme.
After its debut at the 2016 ISDE in Navarra, Spain the Motorex Challenge returned in the Swiss lubricant manufacturer’s centenary year with great success. Motorex was supporting participants of the Club Team Trophy as well as those of the Vintage Trophy with free supply of Motorex premium lubricants and care products to cover their needs for the ISDE.
The participating riders were also ranked in the Motorex Challenge standings on top of the official ISDE standings which gave them the chance to not only win trophies and medals but also prizes in kind. For the hundreds of amateur riders which spent a lot of time and money to participate in the ISDE, this was a welcome support.
In the Club Team Trophy category the victorious team even won a voucher for Motorex products worth € 2,000.
In this year’s edition the Club Trophy competition of the Motorex Challenge, with 28 participating teams, was dominated by the Italian Moto Club Pavia. They claimed victory with their 'Pavia Senior' team and also came in third with their 'Pavia Junior' team. They were joined on the podium by the 'KBS UAMK Team Unhost' squad from the Czech Republic.
In the Vintage Trophy Motorex Challenge, a total of 45 riders participated aboard their vintage machines. Philippe Vellas from France came out on top with Rolf Nickolai from Germany a close second and Italian Riccardo Terranova in third.
The 93rd edition of the ISDE will take place in Chile in 2018 and Motorex will return as main partner of the event as well as direct supporter of the amateur riders of the Club Trophy and Vintage Trophy competitions through their Motorex Challenge. Registration information for the 2018 Motorex Challenge will be published in due time on the event website as well as the FIM website.
