The Atacama Rally — round three of the FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship — got off to an anticlimactic start with the prologue results cancelled due to navigational issues.
The short 14-kilometre loop used as a shakedown to determine the starting order ahead of stage one of five, saw numerous riders miss waypoints.
As a result, the times for the prologue were then removed from the overall classification but used to determine the starting order for stage one.
The first 15 fastest riders from the prologue are however able to select their starting position for stage one.
