Imagine dominating your sport for a decade. Imagine being so good that everyone - more often than not - is left fighting for the scraps. Well, Toni Bou is that guy!

Sealing it with a win, trial-god Toni Bou collected his 20th world crown at the Italian round of the World Trials Championship.

This title incredibly marked his 10th straight outdoor championship to go alongside with his 10th straight indoor crown he locked down during the winter. It’s pretty remarkable, eh!

They say winning one world championship is bloody hard work and defending it is when the real graft begins. So to maintain that level of motivation to succeed and intensity to train at the highest level possible is no mean feat.

We only ever really get to see the results of all that behind-the-scenes preparation come to fruition displayed on race day. We don’t really ever see the endless training, the desire to improve, battles with niggling injuries and the constant strain of travelling from race to race. Ultimately those are the bits that win titles and in Toni’s case break records after records.

Who knows what’s next for one of motorcycling’s greatest of all time. What will the next decade have in store? And will we ever see him make that crossover to Hard Enduro that so many are curious to see?

Like we said, who knows. But one thing’s for sure, this perfect decade is definitely one to saviour…

Congrats Toni!
