Great Britain is brimming with world-class enduro talent right now and 18-year-old Dan Mundell is the latest youngster rapidly rising through the ranks.

Stepping up to the Championship category in the ACU British Enduro Championship for 2017, KTM mounted Mundell is fast becoming a rider to watch for.

Since making the switch to enduro at the age of 16, Devon based Mundell quickly made a name for himself by winning the British Clubman Enduro Championship outright in 2015 along with collecting the Enduro 1 class too.

Moving to Experts for 2016, the 125 two-stroke rider, supported by JD Racing KTM UK, then won the 125 class while finishing an impressive runner-up in the British Expert Enduro Championship. Adding in a runner-up result in his British Sprint Enduro Championship class capped off a remarkable season for the teenager.

Working double-time during the winter to be ready for 2017, he faces his toughest challenge yet as he goes head-to-head with Britain’s elite enduro guys…

“Moving up to Championship class is going to be tough but I’m looking forward to it and the opportunity of racing against some of the best enduro riders in the world.

“I’ve a background in motocross and trials so I think that’s been helping me a lot so far.”

Along with the British Enduro Championship, Dan will also contest the FIM 125 Youth Cup class in EnduroGP, two SuperEnduro races and the prestigious Welsh 2-Day Enduro.

For 2017 Dan is sponsored by JD Racing KTM UK,, Michelin, Talon, Dr Shox Suspension Centre, Mundell's Motor Services & Stoked Clothing, Apico Factory Racing, DP Brakes, Leatt Protectives, Forma Boots and Motorex Oils.

“I also want to pay a special thanks to my parents, Ian and Kathy, my girlfriend Olivia, Jack Fleming and my close friends and family who cheer me on and help at events!,” he told us.

Good luck for 2017 Dan. Full gas!
