Honda’s Diogo Ventura continues to lead the way in the Portuguese Enduro Championship with a double win at round two of the series in Valpacos.

With less than one month between rounds one and two of the Portuguese Enduro Championship, the series returned to action for their first two-day event of the year at Valpaços.

With a little less than a hundred and fifty competitors, the race designed by Usprigozus - Clube Vilarandelo TT had a course of about 45 kilometres and the usual three specials. A rain free weekend ensured excellent conditions.

As in the first round of the championship held in Góis at the end of January, it was Diogo Ventura who led the overall classification from the first moments of both days of the race.

The Honda rider was the the guy to beat winning 15 of the 21 tests - thus ensuring victory both days and reinforcing his championship lead against Gonçalo Reis — second in both days of the race.

Closing the podium on the first day was Daniel Carracedo in third, with João Vivas climbing to third place on the final day of racing in Valpaços.

There were also plenty of duels for the victories in the other categories that make up the national championship, which will have its third stop of the 2017 calendar on 2 April in Vila de Rei, right in the centre of Portugal.
