Matteo Pavoni has won the 2017 European Enduro Championship in a nail-biting Slovakian season finale.

Taking the outcome of this year’s overall honours down to the wire, Pavoni hung tough to defend his overall point’s lead and end the 2017 series as champion.

In what was a battle to the end, Pavoni held off a last round attack from former two-time champion Maurizio Micheluz.

Enduring a disappointing end to an otherwise strong season, a double non-score hurt Oscar Balletti’s title hopes, pushing him back to third overall in the series.

For the final day of racing in the 2017 series, competitors enjoyed an ISDE-style motocross race.

Despite crash, and injury to his face, Jaromir Romancik still managed to win the day.

In the race for Senior E2 honours, the title went to Jamie Lewis, thanks to his 4-2-2 scorecard.

Although coming up short in the overall title fight, Micheluz still had enough in hand over Balletti to win the Senior E3 championship.

Veteran class honours went to Arne Domeyer.

Finishing out her season on a high, Jessica Gardiner won the final day of the Women’s class to claim eight wins from nine starts in 2017.
