Husqvarna’s updated for 2019 TC 50, TC 65 and TC 85 models – a three bike line-up of two-strokes for the kids.

Husqvarna’s mini off road range – the TC 50, TC 65 and TC 85 – see very few updates for 2019 but as replica’s of the bigger models the range they are proper performance stepping stones for kids learning to ride or moving up through the biking ladder.

Three models means three engine sizes with adjustable power and different suspension settings to suit different levels of riders. Here's what Husqvarana say about the MY19 mini models...

With the same looks and feel as Husqvarna’s full-sized motocross machines, the new TC 50 is designed from the ground-up to be a replica of the bigger models and every bit the race bike.

The TC 50 is built around a steel frame, housing a 50cc, single cylinder, two-stroke engine.

The engine uses a three-shaft design for improved centralisation of mass. The exhaust is specifically designed to match the characteristics of its engine.

The TC 50 motor is fitted with an automatic centrifugal clutch that reduces riding complexity for younger riders – in short that means no clutch. A special kit allows for reduction of  power to 5.5hp and is available from the Husqvarna Motorcycles Accessories range

The WP suspension on the TC 50 is the WP AER 35 fork and monoshock. The 35mm forks allow the rider to push with confidence and has 205mm travel. The air unit in the left fork leg can be adjusted with an air pump for different settings depending on rider weight or track conditions.

The TC 65 is the step-up offers young riders the chance to experience a ‘proper’ race bike with a hydraulic clutch and a manual gearbox.

Featuring premium components as standard, the TC 65 offers exactly the same quality as that found on Husqvarna’s larger motocross machines.

Highly competitive in the 65cc class, the TC 65 engine is built using light and durable materials, has a pressure-controlled exhaust valve, manual six-speed transmission and hydraulic clutch.

In the suspension department, the TC 65 features longer travel WP AER 35 fork than the TC 50, with 215mm of wheel travel and the WP monoshock offers 270mm of travel and is fully adjustable. As with the TC50 the left fork has an adjustable air unit.

The TC 85 also features much of the same technology found in the full-sized Husqvarna motocross motorcycles.

Setting the benchmark in class, the TC 85 2-stroke engine combines performance and reliability.

The cylinder is designed around an innovative power valve system that significantly enhances power, torque, control and allows delivery to be tailored simply and effectively - as you would a larger capacity two-stroke engine.

The six-speed gearbox and 'Formula' hydraulic diaphragm spring clutch control power delivery across the RPM range.

The bigger of the mini bikes has up-rated WP suspension componentry. Up front, the WP AER 43 has a split fork design with air in the left leg and oil in the right. Offering advanced damping characteristics, the forks are adjustable via the easy access clickers and with the use of the supplied pump.

In the rear, the TC 85 is fitted with its own version of the WP XPlore PDS shock. Designed to work perfectly with the forks, the rear shock is fully adjustable for preload, compression and rebound.
