Friedjof Jörns, Chief Engineer Europe, Textron Inc: “It is an honour and privilege for Textron Off Road to act as the Exclusive Media and VIP Guest Transportation Partner for the 2018 Erzbergrodeo Red Bull Hare Scramble. This will now be our fifth consecutive year supporting the world’s largest off-road motorcycle race and we are very much looking forward to being an integral part in the running of the event, while showcasing the capabilities of Arctic Cat. Working closely with the world’s media and event personnel we understand their different needs and requirements, which can differ between high-speed following of the racing drivers or careful transportation of high-end camera equipment to various locations around the mountainside racecourse.
"This year we feel we have the maximum possible number of passenger seats combined with the highest transport speed since the beginning of our cooperation with the Erzbergrodeo team. In total we will bring 31 vehicles to the Erzbergrodeo, ranging from the powerful two-passenger WILDCAT X to the tamer-but-multi-functional four-passenger STAMPEDE 4. We will have 23 experienced drivers, including 13 in-house drivers from Textron Off Road, in operation during the event from Thursday through Sunday. On-site we will also operate a fully equipped service shop for daily maintenance of the vehicles, which we expect to drive a combined total of 11,000 kilometres and 500 hours of seat-time during the four-day event. Finally, I’d like to wish all 1,500 competitors, organising staff and media personnel the best of luck during this year’s Erzbergrodeo Red Bull Hare Scramble.”
