The final round of the FIM European Enduro Championship take place in Kielce, Poland this weekend September 14-16 with five riders still in with a shout of overall victory.

The 2018 European Championship will go right down to the wire in this tightly contested series in 2018. In the overall standings five riders have still the theoretical possibility to clinch the title.

Though anything can happen in enduro, the leading duo of Alessandro Battig from Italy and Junior Hugo Blanjoue from France are just four points apart. With 20 points to play for each day in Poland there is still plenty on the table. Watch out also for Blanjoue’s team-mate, Thomas Dubost playing into the mix after taking the second day at the last round in Sweden.

In the womens class, Sanna Kärkkäinen from Finland has a strong 29 point lead ahead of Nina Klink from the Netherlands and Hanna Berzelius from Sweden.

More than 150 riders have entered for the last round of 2018 with riders from Norway, Italy, England to Slovakia make a total of 14 different nations competing. Among them of course are local Polish riders looking home advantage. One of them list the local hero, Sebastian Krywult, who is leading the championship in the senior class on his KTM.

The final three days racing for the European Enduro title adds a twist to the final round with two days of classic enduro before a final motocross test on the Sunday.

The first two days will be on a 50km long circuit, ridden four times and will include the MX test and enduro tests every lap. Riders decamp to the motocross test on the third day, about 25km away from the Parc Ferme in Kielce.

Kielce has been an internationally renowned organiser of enduro events for many years and the European Championship 2011 was last hosted by the city in south-eastern Poland.

The Parc Ferme is located on the southern outskirts of the Kielce, near the athletics stadium and the sports hall (Leszka Drogosza 1, 25-093 Kielce).
