Onboard video: Ready for this? Le Touquet Beach Race this weekend

1000-plus riders heading to the biggest beach race on earth, the 2020 Enduropale du Touquet – Nathan Watson aiming for double victory at classic French off-road race.

The 45th edition of the biggest beach race on the planet arrives this weekend with Nathan Watson leading the 1000-plus rider entry list and looking for his second victory on the bounce at Enduropale du Touquet, January 31 – February 2.

Before all that, check out Jeremy Van Horebeek’s POV race start last year – so fast!

Aiming also to clinch his second French Beach Racing Championship this weekend, Nathan Watson heads the rider line-up into the final round of the Championnat de France des Sables at the annual Enduropale in Northern France.

Heading into its 45th edition in 2020, the infamous beach race will be a championship decider between Watson and Todd Kellett. Watson leads by 75 points over his fellow countryman so just needs a top 25 finish to bag the title.

Traditionally a very strong event for French riders, Stephane Watel, Jeremy Hauquier, Milko Potisek, Richard Fura and Camille Chapeliere will all be eager to put their country back at the top of the podium after having two English riders stealing the win the last two years.

The 13km course will have a new start for this year’s edition so expect to see some full gas action right off the gate as riders battle for the holeshot while hitting speeds of 170km/h.
