How CrossFit training is helping one of Hard Enduro’s top athletes to be the best he can be…

When Jonny Walker suffered a crash that resulted in a fractured fibula, CrossFit aided his recovery and helped him regain confidence in his body. 

Cross Fit Cumbria coach Jonny Thompson and Walker work together to create programming that replicates the various time domains in enduro in preparation for upcoming races, and Walker says he feels stronger on the bike after training.

“Enduro and CrossFit’s kind of the same. It’s full gas from start to finish, and that’s kind of what CrossFit is.”

“Being constantly varied in training is really helpful to his sport,” says CrossFit Cumbria coach Jonny Thompson.
