KTM’s Lars Enockl put in a solid ride on KTM’s pre-production fuel injected two-stroke enduro bike to finish as runner-up in the King of the Hill Hard Enduro.
As mentioned on Friday, Enockl was competing in the three-day Romanian hard enduro on KTM’s soon-to-be-released 2018 EXC TPI enduro.
Giving it a proper shakedown, the Austrian pulled off the fast lap in the Friday’s prologue setting a time 14 seconds faster than guys like Travis Teasdale, Mario Roman and Wade Young.
Enockl then went on to place second overall behind Young in day two’s extreme enduro before ending the third and final day as the runner-up outright.
In March, KTM announced their 2018 two-stroke enduro models will be fuel injected, with TPI standing for Transfer Port Injection.
They will unveil the 2018 KTM 250 EXC TPI and KTM 300 EXC TPI during their international media launch on May 15th.
