Reigning Erzbergrodeo champion, Alfredo Gomez will return from injury to race the 2018 prologue – with the main event a possibility.

In his first event back after seriously damaging his leg during training in February, Gomez will contest the Iron Road Prologue this weekend in Austria. The plan is to decide before Sunday’s Hare Scramble if Alfredo is fit enough to compete the main race.

Alfredo will complete the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team line-up for the first time this outdoor season alongside three times Erzberg winner Graham Jarvis, current WESS championship leader and Extreme Lagares winner, Billy Bolt and two-time Super Enduro champion Colton Haaker.

Speaking ahead of the Erzbergrodeo, Rockstar Husky team manager Andi Hölzl said:

“It’s nice to have Alfredo back racing with us following his injury. Still not 100%, Alfredo will race the Iron Road Prologue and depending on how he feels, we will decide together whether or not to take the start to Sunday’s Hare Scramble.”
