Results from the opening night’s action at Extreme XL Lagares, round one of WESS 2019 – first blood goes to Jonny Walker.
2019 Extreme XL Lagares Endurocross in a nutshell:
- Jonny Walker took the opening semi-final race victory setting a blistering pace early on to establish a lead over fastest qualifier, Manuel Lettenbichler.
- Semi-final two set a slightly slower pace with Taddy Blazusiak taking a comfortable win ahead of Wade Young – the only two to complete seven laps. The rest of the field including Tarres, Jarvis, Roman, Richardson and even Bolt all got lapped following a crash.
- Walker repeated his winning performance in the final. Initially down in fourth, Walker picked his way forward to take over the lead from Blazusiak mid-way through the race and pull clear.
- Lettenbichler was third and along with Alfredo Gomez kept Taddy honest.
