Mario Roman speaks exclusively to the Enduro21 podcast about his riding life, training and the secrets behind his stellar 2019 Hard Enduro season which has seen victory at Extreme Lagares and an Erzbergrodeo podium so far...

To say 2019 has been a strong year for Mario Roman would be an understatement of epic proportions but as he explains in this podcast, it is not so much about making any major changes but more about fitting the jigsaw together better: “I don’t feel that I improve but this year everything is coming together.”

The Sherco Factory Racing rider began the 2019 season with a podium at Ales Trem Enduro and then moved onwards and upwards, clocking 10 podiums which included the biggest win of his career at Extreme XL Lagares.

It was a defining moment in Roman's career which saw the broadly experienced Spaniard take the scalps of all the contenders in the World Enduro Super Series. Roman backed that win up with an impressive, from-behind ride to take third place at Erzbergrodeo.

Our interview took place at the Sherco 2020 Enduro model launch in Italy, just a few days after Erzberg where Mario was clearly in a good place ahead of jetting off to Israel for a training school and then a return to action at the Hixpania Hard Enduro in Spain.
