Alfredo Gomez globetrots from the Erzbergrodeo to North America to take the win at Last Dog Standing Hard Enduro – Colton Haaker and Trystan Hart joined him on the podium.

The Glen Helen Raceway hosted its ninth Last Dog Standing Hard Enduro with the Spaniard Alfredo Gomez making his first appearance in the race. Just one week after finishing fourth at the infamous Erzbergrodeo, Gomez crossed the Atlantic and took the honours in very different conditions.

Husqvarna team-mate Colton Haaker brought it home in second despite only recently getting over injury and the Canadian Trystan Hart, who was also fresh from a 14th place finish in his first time at Erzberg, rounded the podium in third.

The Last Dog Standing Sunday Hard Enduro race consisted two parts with the riders at first going out in pairs to tackle an eight-mile lap that included all the iconic obstacles of the race. Colton Haaker, on his first race since his back injury, was the fastest with Gomez second and Trystan Hart third.

The second part saw riders tackle two-laps of the same course but with more extreme sections added in and it was brutal as Alfredo’s onboard from the (above) shows. The video above is only part of Gomez’s race, check Alfredo's YouTube channel for more.

In the main race Haaker got the holeshot but Gomez quickly stole the lead and didn’t let it go. Everything looked set for Haaker in second but he went down in the last water obstacle, drowning his bike. Another rider helped out but not before Trystan Hart nipped passed.

After the two moto results then Gomez took the overall with a 2-1 scorecard, Haaker was second with a 1-3, and Trystan Hart third with a 3-2 result.
