Mario Roman the favourite for the Gordexola Xtreme Hard Enduro 2019 win

Mario Roman heads to northern Spain this weekend, July 5-7, aiming for his fourth win in the Gordexola Xtreme Hard Enduro.

The 12th edition of the Gordexola Xtreme kicks off this Friday for three days of Hard Enduro racing just south of Bilbao, Spain.

Sherco Factory Racing rider Mario Roman starts as favourite and is aiming for his fourth win at the event. Roman will have to keep an eye on Pol Tarres who has steadily upped his Extreme Enduro game since finishing second to Mario in 2018 at Gordexola.

Local riders in with a shout include Alex Hidalgo, winner in 2015, and Josu Artola, third in 2018. Both are podium challengers racing on home soil.
