Last round of the 2019 American Hard Enduro Series at Saddleback Xtreme this weekend sees Wade Young aiming to wrap-up the inaugural US title.
Wade Young will head to this weekend’s Saddleback Extreme in Kentucky with the championship points lead and one hand on the inaugural American Hard Enduro Series title.
Factory Sherco racer, Young has two race wins this season and a “worst” result of second place at the season opener the RevLimiter Extreme in the five round series. The South African didn’t race the fourth round, Battle of the Goats, due to a clash with Red Bull Romaniacs but has certainly been the rider to beat in this new AMA sanctioned series.
Things are not as easy as they might seem though with Young sitting on 100 points and with Quinn Wentzel in second place on 90 points, plus Nick Fahringer third on 86. Chances are slim that Young will falter but Extreme Enduro can sure throw a spanner in the works sometimes.
A 12.5 mile loop packed with mud, rocks, creeks and fallen trees awaits the riders at the Saddleback East riding facility in Bedford, Kentucky.
The racing will kick off at 12pm EST with the first row of the Pro class heading out for three hours plus a lap.
