Spain has revealed the 2019 ISDE Trophy, Junior, Women’s and Club teams to race in Portimao, Portugal – Josep Garcia commands the Trophy Team and Laia Sanz makes a comeback to Enduro.
Team news for the 2019 International Six Days Enduro on November 11 - 16, has hotted up this week and Spain has joined the party with Trophy, Junior, Women’s and Club squads announced today by the RFME (Spanish Federation).
Acting as team manager for the second year, former World Enduro Champion Ivan Cervantes has picked his strongest possible line-up of riders in Trophy, Junior and Women’s Team aiming to put themselves into podium contention in Portugal.
Josep Garcia leading the Trophy Team
Josep Garcia’s absence, due to date clashing with WESS events in 2018, was pretty noticeable on the Spanish Trophy Team who placed a disappointing fifth without the KTM rider’s natural speed onboard.
Together with ISDE veteran Cristóbal Guerrero, EnduroGP Junior glory chaser Enric Francisco and E1 top five regular Kirian Mirabet, the 2019 Spanish team will stand a stronger podium chance this time around.
Laia Sanz leading Women’s Trophy Team
After missing the 2018 edition due to illness the multi-time Enduro World Champion Laia Sanz is back to face the mighty Australian Women’s Trophy class.
Together with Laia, Hard Enduro specialist Sandra Gomez and three-time Spanish national enduro champion Mireia Badia will be aiming for at least a podium finish.
Meanwhile the Junior Trophy team will be formed by three ISDE newcomers: Marc Sans, Pau Tomas and Sergio Navarro.
