Dakar 2017 fever continues to build with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Rally Team lifting the covers on their 450 rally bike.
Ok, so effectively KTM’s rally bike dressed in black, there is, and probably always will be, something about exotic factory bikes that make us turn to mush.
For Dakar 2017 the team will be a modest two-rider setup of Pablo Quintanilla and Pela Renet as it looks like Rubien Faria has stepped into the role of team manager.
Quintanilla just recently renewed his contract with Husqvarna as the freshly crowned world rally champ. Third in Dakar 2016 he’s got the skills to build on that next January.
Former Enduro World Champion Pela Renet continues to gain experience in the rally game. He’s had some solid results this year, including a stage win, and will be looking to make amends in Dakar 2017 have retired early due to injury last January.
