Sam Sunderland tops the results on a tough navigational stage seven of the 2019 Dakar Rally 2019, American Ricky Brabec regains the overall lead.
Navigation errors have been the order of the day for many of the top moto riders on stage seven of teh 2019 Dakar Rally but both Sam Sunderland and José Ignacio Cornejo dodged the pitfalls to finish clear of the field. Behind them American, Ricky Brabec ticked off third place, 6m30s back on Sunderland. Crucially Factory Honda rider, Brabec, made big gains on stage seven to retake the overall lead of the moto class with three days remaining.
Pablo Quintanilla stood at the top of the general standings at the start of the stage seven but conceded a whopping 21 minutes to Brabec today dropping to 14th at the finish.
Overall Brabec now has a 6m55s lead over Toby Price with Adrien Van Beveren 7m47s back. Sunderland is just ahead of Quintanilla on 9m58s and 9m59s deficits from the leader respectively.
