KTM Motorsports announces Jordi Viladoms' move from active racing to KTM Rally Sport Manager.
“Today begins a new stage in my life,” told Viladoms. “I stopped competing to become the new sporting director Rally KTM."
With 10 years of experience in the Dakar Rally, including runner-up in 2014, Viladoms is sure to become an important asset to the KTM Rally team in the years to come.
Viladoms made the announcement with a handshake at KTM’s Motorsports HQ with KTM Motorsports Director Pit Beirer and Alex Doringer, KTM’s Division Manager Enduro and Rally.
Reflecting on his decision to hang up his competitive boots, Viladoms remarked…
“I am very happy about the experiences I've had in my active career but now is the right time for me to make a change.
“After ten years of rally sport I'm completely healthy and very motivated for the new tasks. My goal is to pass on my experiences and knowledge to our younger generation and make it accessible to all the riders in the team.
“I had sporting moments that have made me very happy but best of all is that I enjoyed doing what I like. Now begins a new stage that also makes me very happy and I feel privileged to continue the KTM family.
“Thank you all for so many messages of support and for always supporting me. Thanks also to everyone who helped me for so many years and my sponsors, without them there would have been possible.”
