Kawasaki’s Robby Bell capped off his 2015 WORCS championship-winning season with victory at the final round of the series at Buffalo Bill’s Casino.
Proving the rider to beat this year, Bell didn’t fail to disappoint at the series ender. With five wins already to his credit, Bell ensured his WORCS season ended on a high by clinching his sixth victory while walking away with the title.
With the start gate dropping at round 10, Bell grabbed the final holeshot of the season and was followed by his teammate, Justin Seeds. But Hinson / Honda’s Justin Jones quickly charged past the two and into the lead early in the race. Bell retook the lead when Jones made a pit stop, and this time he held the lead to the chequered flag for the win.
Gary Sutherland charged at the end. He was gaining on Bell through the late stages of the race, but just ran short of time. Finishing second in the race he ended the 2015 title chase as runner-up to Bell.
Justin Seeds earned his second WORCS podium result of the season with his third place effort. Interestingly, his first podium came at the same venue back in February.
RPM / KTM’s Travis Coy’s fourth place finish secured him a top three result in the WORCS Championships in his rookie Pro year, having won the Pro 2 championship in 2014.
In the Pro 2 class, Dalton Shirey grabbed the holeshot and ran away with the win, handing him third place in the championship. Shirey plans to step up to the Pro Class next year. Michael Del Fante and Travis Damon rounded out the top three.
In the Pro 2 Lites class, Logan Chambers won the race and the championship. Thor Amador and Mitch Anderson rounded out the top three at the season finale.
With the 2015 Rocky Mountain MC World Off-Road Championship Series presented by Maxxis and Dirt Bike complete the 2016 WORCS season begins January 15-17th at Honolulu Hills in Taft, California.
