With the Southern California weather heating up, round three of the AMA West Hare Scrambles in Gorman at the Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) and Quail Canyon MX Park provided ideal racing weather.

The Prospectors Motorcycle Club of historic District 37 once again hosted a top notch event, ensuring a smooth race weekend to complement the fast paced racing that took place.

The main feature of the day would see the Pro, Pro 250 and Experts, with classes full of commendable competition.

Gerston and Pearson held a close race with a well deserved podium for the weekend making for another solid round of AMA West Hare Scramble racing.

In the Pro 250 class, Cole Canatser left the weekend with first in class, with Jordan Gamboa only a few minutes behind in second. And to fill the final podium spot, JT Baker took home third in class behind Gamboa.

Sunday started off with Women and all Beginner classes. A dominate force in women's off-road racing, Sharon Mowell took first overall in the Women’s class with 30 minutes as her fastest lap time! Mowell battled around in top three overall, but ultimately ended up allowing Tyler Knutzman to take first overall and Matthew Tucker to take second overall.

In preparing the course, the Prospectors were sure that the Youth Mini and Quad course would enjoy a smooth yet fun six-mile loop. Bright and early Saturday morning, the Pee Wee 50cc class kicked off with an overall win from Nick Vasquez after a nice battle with 2nd place Waylon Honnold, while Damian Padron rounded off the podium.

Race 2 saw the 65cc, Girls, & Jr. Girls jump off the ZipTy Starting Line. A huge lead made by NHHA regular, Lane Forbes, led to an impressive first overall, while District 37's up and coming Laci Olivas made substantial time on her class to finish  a close second overall. Following Olivas through the finish, District 36's own rising star Ava Silvestri finished in third.

The Big Wheel race saw a not at all surprising overall win from Mason Matthies. Meanwhile, Cody Kurtz and Bradley East battled all race long  for second and third overall. This race was definitely action packed, and once again proved to be the perfect  learning grounds for the future of off-road Hare Scrambles champions.

To conclude the day, the ATV's race on a 6-mile course through the Gorman hills. Over the duration of nearly two-hours, Jose Torres, Colt Brinkerhoff and Howard Tande raced with intense focus for the top three podium positions.
