Taylor Robert takes the win at a dusty round five of AMA Hare and Hound series at Sugarloafers MC, Utah.

KTM USA rider Taylor Robert had to come from behind after a poor start to take the win away from Kendall Norman at round five of the AMA Hare and Hound series in Jericho, Utah.

Pro class

At the drop of the flag, Ryan Smith got the jump ahead of Kendall Norman in the Pro class but it was Nick Burson who charged through for the holeshot – Norman took no time getting through the dust to take the overall lead though. With a poor start, round four winner Taylor Robert had a mission in the dusty Utah conditions to make his way forward.

At the end of the first 42-mile lap, Norman had a 1:15 lead ahead of Robert, Burson, Smith, Pro 250's Joshua Knight.

Over the next lap, Robert not only made the pass for the lead after a mistake from Norman, but went on to gap the competition by nearly 3:30. An ecstatic Robert came through the flag with yet another win, with Burson and Norman rounding out the podium.

Pro 250

Joshua Knight put on an impressive performance on his home turf, leading the class from start to finish. Sugarloafers MC rider Daemon Woolslayer also capitalized on his knowledge of the terrain, chasing Knight in second place ahead of class points leader Chance Fullerton.

Women

Earning her third consecutive victory of the season, Brandy Richards led the entire Women's field from start to finish in Utah. Richards came into the pits 3:30 over rising talent, Utah rider Rachel Stout and New Mexico's very own Britney Gallegos who leads the series now by just one point. Racing in her first National of the season, California KTM rider Kari Erickson raced her way to fourth in class, after commendably stopping for a downed rider.

Pee Wee

A unique two-mile course faced the youth racers and Degan Frye grabbed the holeshot, leading Grady Ballow and Waylon Honnold into the first turn. But Honnold quickly gained the lead with Ballow and Sawyer Palmer behind.

Honnold maintained his lead, finishing 42-seconds over second placed Ballow. After making his way back from fifth, Maddix Park charged to third overall.

Youth classes

All remaining youth classes competed together along a 20-mile course for just over an hour. In the Mini class, Rylan Hendricksen led from start to finish, building a gap of nearly a minute by the finish.

A stacked group of 65cc racers lines up to compete in the Micro Mini class, but it was ultimately Jett Lessing who would return to the top step of the podium.
Leading from start to finish, Jack Williford raced his Yamaha as fast as he could to claim his second victory of the season in Micro Mini class.

A great turnout in the Girls 12-15 year old class saw Kortney Kearsley give previous round winner Ty Woolslayer a run for her money, jumping in to the lead early on and holding it to the finish.

Big Wheel rider Bradley East put the hammer down and took the win ahead of Aaron Rhodes and Bronson Frye.
