Results: Cherry Creek AMA National Hare and Hound win for Joe Wasson

Joe Wasson wins the 59th Annual Cherry Creek National Hare and Hound from Shirey and Argubright.

 

The 2019 Sugarloafers Motorcycle Club organized the fourth round of the AMA NHHA Championship, the Cherry Creek National, were Joe Wasson was the fastest. 

The riders had to complete three loops consisting in a total of 95 miles, the first two loops having 25 miles each and third one 45 miles. Joe Wasson grabbed the holeshot but was quickly joined by Dalton Shirey in the fight for the win. 

The pair put a good battle during the first loop, but it was Shirey who arrived first at the pits area with Wasson right on his toes. The pair were caught by Jacob Argubright and the trio continued the battle for the lead in the second loop. In the pit stop it was Wasson who was first, Argubright second and Shirey third.

After the full 95 miles and three laps it was the Factory Beta rider Joe Wasson who was first at the chequered flag. He was accompanied in the podium by the 3Bros/SRT/Husqvarna Dalton Shirey in second and Jacob Argubright in third.  

Wasson and Argubright are now in a draw for points with only one round to go before the summer break of the 2019 series.

Pro 250 win for Roberts

In the Pro 250 class it was three men battle for the win. Daemon Woolslayer, Zane Roberts and Preston Campbell were exchanging the lead during all three loops. Finally, it was the Factory Beta rider Roberts who won the event with Woolslayer and Campbell rounding the podium.

In Pro Women’s class Brandy Richards was on another level and gave no chances to her rivals. Rachel Stout and Britney Gallegos were able to put a good race that was rewarded with second and third podium places respectively.

Next round for the National Hare and Hound Championship will be hosted in the Little Sahara Recreation area, Utah, May 4.
