2019 GNCC XC2 250 Pro champion Ben Kelley signs a three-year contract extension which sees him join the FMF KTM Factory Racing team in 2020 and move up to the XC1 Pro class.
KTM Motorsports (USA) have announced a three-year contract extension with the recently crowned 2019 GNCC XC2 250 Pro champion Ben Kelley.
Having taken back-to-back GNCC XC2 250 championships with Trail Jesters KTM Racing Team, Kelley will make the jump to the premier XC1 Pro class in 2020 with the FMF KTM Factory Racing Team.
Kelley has won every race to date in 2019 and even made it to the overall podium twice. The two-time XC2 250 Pro champion will race the remaining three rounds of the series aiming for a perfect season.
The 23-year-old will also represent the United States Junior World Trophy Team at the 94th edition of the ISDE in Portimao, Portugal, in November 11 - 16.
Ben Kelley: “I am really excited to be joining the FMF KTM Factory Racing team going into the 2020 season. I have high hopes for next year and look forward to moving up to the premier XC1 class in GNCC.”
Team Manager, Antti Kallonen: “I’m very pleased to see Ben graduate from the Trail Jesters KTM Racing Team. We’ve been supporting him and the team for a few years now and this is the result of a great feeder program and now he’s ready to take on the premier class. “Obviously, we’re looking for a very bright future for Ben as he’s already shown an enormous amount of potential in the XC2 class.
“Now he will be on a bigger bike in the premier class and our expectations are high, as are his, so we’re looking forward to the next three years and beyond.”Igor AguadoEnduro21 Junior Editorigor.email@example.com
