The WORCS 2019 season rolls on to Honolulu Hills Raceway for its 10th round where Taylor Robert could be crowned champion at the penultimate round this weekend.
Honolulu Hills Raceway, California, will host the 10th round of the 2019 WORCS championship this weekend, October 11 - 12, with Taylor Robert to clinch the Pro class title.
Heading on to the penultimate round, Robert has a 41 points advantage over Dante Oliveira, who is second and the only potential challenger. With 50 points up for grabs at the last two rounds of the championship Robert just needs to finish 11th or higher this weekend to earn enough points to became the 2019 WORCS champion.
WORCS Pro standings after nine rounds:
- Taylor Robert, 219
- Dante Oliveira, 178
- Zach Bell, 139
The FMF KTM Factory Racing rider has won seven out of the nine WORCS rounds contested this season and has placed second in the other two. This would mark Robert’s second WORCS title after having won the first one seven years ago.
The 2019 WORCS championship would also become Robert’s second US title this season after having won the 2019 Sprint Hero Championship recently. It marks a return to form and fitness after several seasons of serious injuries.
