Jaume Betriu was all smiles this weekend as he was crowned the 2017 Spanish Enduro Champion at the series finale in Santiago.

With the Spanish Enduro Championship drawing to a close this weekend at Santiago de Compostela, the majority of the titles were still up for grabs.

Heading the overall scratch category heading into Santiago, Betriu had a virtual grasp on defending his crown.

However, trying to make up ground having missed the series opener due to injury, newly crowned Enduro2 World Champion Josep Garcia on a mission.

Carding a double win Garcia fought hard to close the gap to his teammate, but Betriu had enough in hand with his 2-3 scorecard to seal the deal.

Along with claiming the overall title, Betriu also went on to win the Enduro 3 category.

Ending the series as runner-up to Betriu, Yamaha’s Cristobal Guerrero also took home the Enduro 2 title.

Despite winning the final five races of the season, Garcia just wasn’t able to add the Spanish Scratch title to his 2017 win tally and ended the series third overall and third in Enduro 1.

Enduro 1 title honours went to Lorenzo Santolino (Sherco).
